Pro Motion Hire Acquires Rent and Eurocrew Worldwide from The Farm Group.

Pro Motion Hire, London's leading broadcast equipment hire company, announced today that it has acquired Rent, the broadcast hire facility, and Eurocrew Worldwide, the international crewing company, from The Farm Group Ltd for a six figure sum.

Pro Motion Hire has enjoyed a very successful year in 2010 despite challenging economic times, doubling its revenues and investing over £1million on new equipment. This new deal will strengthen its service offering by providing a dedicated base in the heart of Soho, providing a variety of production and post production equipment, and giving access to a large database of freelance production talent around the world. The acquisition will not result in any redundancies.

The two acquired companies will retain their current brand names. Rent's booking staff will be based initially in serviced offices in Soho while suitable long-term Soho-based premises are found. Eurocrew Worldwide, an agency which provides English speaking crews locally around the world primarily for blue chip companies, is run by Rent staff and will continue to operate from Soho. Operational and technical staff will be temporarily based from Pro Motion Hire's Waterloo headquarters. Pro Motion Hire, which will act as the parent brand to provide management support and distribution, will begin an intensive recruitment drive in 2011 to enhance its systems and procedures.

Rent comes with assets including a broad range of cameras, lighting and sound equipment across all HD tape and tapeless formats. Pro Motion Hire will also stock it with a full range of VTRs and ancillary equipment.
